Every year (usually in February) we take a delegation to Somoto with us for a period of about one week. The size of our group averages in the 20’s. It is made up of medical professionals, teachers, Rotarian’s, painters or electricians, and just some wonderful people who just want to experience it. While in Somoto, you will soon see that there is something for everyone to see and do in Somoto, that does make a difference. We are always looking for volunteers to go with us.
With busy lives, it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous to you and the community you serve. It is a fantastic way to meet new people with common interests, teach and develop your skills, and even advance your career as well as gain work experience. Whether it is important to you to solve a community problem, advance a worthy cause or to develop as a person, volunteering offers many benefits in appreciation for the gift of your time and knowledge. Not to mention it will boost your social skills and make a difference in someones life.
