Rotarians in Action

Members from Merced Sunrise, Atwater, North Merced, Merced and Madera Rotary Clubs traveled to Somoto to inaugurate two wells, in the rural areas surrounding the city. The $37,000 project was funded by the participating Rotary Clubs and matching funds from a Rotary International Global Grant. While in Somoto, Rotarians also worked with members of the community to clean the pollution from the creek and held health fairs, to promote proper health and dental hygiene.
